August 19, 1997 - Combining elements of an action game and mixing it with a storyline fit for an RPG, Hibrid Heaven, like Zelda 64, offers Nintendo 64 fans the best of both worlds.

First signs of Hibrid Heaven showed up at E3 (Electronics Entertainment Expo), where Konami displayed a brief video of the game in action. Hibrid Heaven was immediately compared to Konami's other title (for PlayStation), Metal Gear Solid. Both games offered unequaled graphical visuals and smooth, impressive gameplay.

Billing the title as a one-player action/RPG, Konami explains the game is a mixture of combat, exploration and adventure. State of the art animation and an unusual cast of characters help to bring the futuristic world to life.

Made up of full motion 3D polygons, the main character leaps, dives and battles his way through alien landscapes -- all in beautiful real-time.

  • This game was awesome and ahead of its time. One of my favs for the N64

  • srsly

  • At the beginning it was just a Metal Gear Solid port for the N64, but because the data was very big, they instead opted for a new game. Still, some of the textures, polygons and certain program data (like the movement) came directly from the canceled Metal Gear Solid 64.

  • @manhunter3 the reviewer at gamespot was a retard =p

  • @2PacOnSky dude i played it..i bought it..i destroyed it..

  • Hybrid Heaven is truly odd project...

Concept and some of the ideas are years ahead it`s time, and at times it is the best game ever created but on others it is really shitty...
