Adirondack Lake Monster?

My wife and I were at a lakeside camp in the Adirondacks and witnessed this strange event. What we could see was jet black, at least eight feet long and maybe 1/2 a foot thick. I don't think we were seeing the whole thing. It moved quickly through the water and under a roadway bridge. It is definitely NOT a snake. One time it went right by a duck and neither seem much interested in the other. I have uploaded a second video as well, which is clearer than this one. We saw this thing at least four times during our week long stay. They have been dredging the lake for the past two years. Is it possible that this is something that was disturbed from the lake bottom by the dredging? Or now that the lake is deeper, it has more room to move around?
It was an impressive sight to see!
