COWGIRL IN THE SAND

Hello cowgirl in the sand
Is this place at your command
Can I stay here for a while
Can I see your sweet sweet smile
Old enough now to change your name
When so many love you is it the same?
It's the woman in you that makes you want to play this game.

Hello ruby in the dust
Has your band begun to rust
After all the sin we've had
I was hopin' that we turn back
Old enough now to change your name
When so many love you is it the same
It's the woman in you that makes you want to play this game.

Hello woman of my dreams
This is not the way it seems
Purple words on a grey background
To be a woman and to be turned down
Old enough now to change your name
When so many love you is it the same
It's the woman in you that makes you want to play this game.

  • 14:51??? WTF??

  • @SpaceProphet5 I can't think of one rock classic since maybe "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and I was not a big fan of Nirvana. That was 20 years ago. Back in the 60's and 70's there was a new hit every week and rock was on the billboard charts where as today it is not. Good music has gone underground so I have to go and find it but as kids all we had to do was turn on the radio. I'm proud of my 17 year old niece who has Neil, Derek and the Dominoes, The Beatles and The Allmans dominating her IPod.

  • @EnlightenedRogue One of my absolute favorites too. If someone who'd never heard an electric guitar before asked me what it sounds like, I'd play this song.

But I disagree with your views on contemporary music. Sure, most mainstream acts are crap, but if you're willing to get your hands dirty you will find plenty of good music.

  • mikkel bang brouht me here

  • Always one of my favorites from the Crazy Horse period. Can't find music like this these days. Everything is now recycled American Idol rubbish. Give me the early 70's or give me death!!!

  • The Filmore, Wow ,best version on Y-tube, get a cold beer and close your eyes and remember that special place, that Girl peace-out

  • The Fillmore East was a very special place. There was just something remarkable about the room acoustics. You can hear that in this recording.

  • I wanted to thank you for the music, and your very cool efforts to put it up !!

Music does sooth the wild beast. THANKS

65 and I have always dug the long guitar versions of really great rock.

_- - in the case of Hendrix, Doors, Cream, etc., etc., we unfortuanetly fought a war listening to the music, when we could.

  • man, what a nice version!
