this is poor.

He's a fine fencer and a more than intelligent one when he wants to be. He's got a fine shoulder flick and, thanks to Iain, a fine flick past 8 or 2. As for his footwork, no one is perfect, but its better than mine... and he's speedy which helps.
Truth be told he should be picking apart everyone here, and soon will be.

what a ponse. shoot him
-
he has off form seeing how he soes up to lunge instead of strate out of the advance
-
Yes, that was my point. He has great, long attacks. I don't know about speed, since it's slowed down, but I'd be willing to bet it's fast as well.

He's kind of one of those 'galloping' fencers; his head bobs on the advances. But he has nice flexible lunges.

Sure it's a bit of a gallop. The main focus is on a long attack and deceiving the blade "open eye." I give my fencers 3 choices. I'll either do nothing or go for the blade in the sixte or quarte line. FYI--I've recently gone back to single advance lunge which seen=ms to be more the norm these days. Thanks for the comment; Glad you're a foilist.
