Shows how to use free SafeHouse Explorer encryption software to make password protected and encrypted file archives which can be attached to emails and opened up without needing any other software - just the password. Free download from http://www.SafeHouseSoftware.com
It's good that the recipient doesn't have to download anything to open your encrypted file. But there is one problem: many email programs will not allow you to send executable files, and most people will think you are trying to send them a virus if you send them an executable file.
Also, self extracting volumes add about 6 MB to your file size, so a 5 MB file becomes 11 MB.
If only executables weren't so suspicious.
