As we have grown accustomed to the Via Flaminia takes us through some of the most beautiful places of Italy. In a week time some 35 classic cars cover 1600 kilometers through small and winding road in Tuscany, Umbria, Abruzzo and Marche.
After the disembarkation of the car train in Verona the Via Flaminia leaves directly for the Apennines with its curvy roads. Great for driving and great to enjoy. The second day the mountains take place for the Tuscan hills. The contrast between the freshly ploughed earth and the green vegetation couldnt be more pronounced.
From Tuscany the tour goes through Umbria, a region, which seems dedicated to the production of and eating of food. Umbria is home to olive trees, wine ranks, truffles, deer and wild boar. It is also the region of ancient hill-perched towns. While going south the wilderness of the vegetation increases, the number of villages decreases and goats replace the sheep.
The high planes around the Corno Grande (2912 m) and above Norcia are becoming a tradition and offer some of the best driving and views possible.
