for years i've debated whether time is similar to an onion (layers within layers) or an afghan that you are knitting that is never quiet complete.
the distinction would be significant if you want to travel thru time.
if time is like the layers of an onion you could capture 1 moment and hold on. if time is an afghan you can stop knitting, unravel it, or pull the spot you to examine close.
i think that David might agree that time is the afghan.
it is technology and its progress that has allowed for the world to be prosperous enough for this guy to choose to live in the past.
