  • Is that coming into Romford / Gallows corner?

  • Yep, Petits lane.

  • @policeblue999 Enjoyed this spontaneous drive past by the Met policeblue999! Given the science as attached to the 'Claxon' and 'Yelp' acoustics on this carriageway (North Circular Road?) policeblue999, did you hear this Met vehicle from some distance off (you clearly had sufficient time to bring to bare your camera-excellent footage by the way) and was it the flashing lights or the claxons that gave you the 'heads up' at first so to speak? Appreciate the vid policeblue999. Best wishes. Ebs.

  • @Ebsteins31653 Thank you. In the car I have my own rear-view mirror, and it was the lights that I noticed first (as the road is quite straight). I'm glad you enjoy the footage.

    Josh.

  • This is an area car. All Met traffic cars have the battern-burg square livery, all other cars have the traditional striped livery (like this one). The reason it is an estate and has cones etc, is because this car is based on the outskirts of East London; Romford. Cars based in such areas, with faster roads (in this case the A13, A12) have the option of being upgraded to 'fast road area cars', where they are fitted with basic equipment for RTAs.

  • yer typicall white van man nobody behind but still doesnt pull over

  • They're probably on their way back to the nick before the canteen closes.

  • @jakwalker96 Yeah, you're allowed to film anything in public, except for if it could be used for terrorism. It's a very vague term but you can still take photos of police cars and most officers.

  • @jakwalker96 yeah we are...

  • @SierraOscar1GoldDale it is an area car

  • I saw a marked BMW 5 series saloon 2009 or 2010 registration a few days ago where I live.

The car came up to a mini island not far from where I live and I was at the petrol station getting some petrol. I am not sure if it was a 330 diesel, 330 petrol or even a 335 petrol if you can get the 5 series saloon with a 3.5 litre engine.

It had a narrow light bar and what looked like a rear facing camera that was mounted on a short pole but was higher than the light bar.
