  • Nice to see and hear Alan again. In time, he will be understood as one of the great religious and spiritual educators of the 20th century.

  • I remember getting his cassettes from the library. Once again I return to him to explain various aspects of Buddhism in clear, elegant English.

  • There is stuff from which things are composed. This stuff or tathata is Mind. Phenomena are dependent originations of Mind or tathata-stuff. But Mahayana goes one step further. We can have direct acquaintance with Mind, that is, pure Mind (visuddhicitta). This is the hard part because the mind we have is formed or shaped mind, not mind itself (svacitta).

  • anatta (no self) profound teaching once grasped and truly understood......

  • not sure when this was made but it's still very much relevant today... _/\_

  • "The Concept of Stuff"

  • I think it's very interesting that Mahayana Buddhism came into being right at the time that Christianity came into being because there are many similarities.

  • @alliant

not ONLY meat sex and intoxication... I agree with the Buddha - find the Middle Way

  • @2Durr

i purify my spirituality with the intelligent use of meat, sex and intoxication. Tantric philosophy is beautiful in this respect, to me. you don't leave behind desires - you use them as vehicles to enlightenment. psychedelic philosophy is based on these tantric principles, as well.

  • we hindu say we are not this body where not theze sense neither the mind

we are spirit soul created from God.

We have to purify our spirtualty No Meat No illicit sex No Gambling No intoication.

to train our trancendental sense in your relation with God..

To be in the immaterial universe wich is infinite

Prabhupada as the Bonafide spirtual master,

if youre fortunate enough you will understand.

Meditation for being in the state of nothingness and receive transendtal enegry Prana.
