Both crews are moving very quickly toward their convergence at the Outer Banks Fishing Pier. The Texas has pumped sand well past June Street, with the south fence now at 9241 Old Oregon Inlet Road. The north fence is at 9119, between Jay and Indigo Streets.

The Liberty Island has made serious progress since turning south a couple days ago. They have moved the north fence down to about 8429 Old Oregon Inlet Road, even though there is a small roped-off area right around the landing point of the submerged pipe. The south fence was near Harvest Street, at about 8523 Old Oregon Inlet Road.

  • @brekfest They don't dredge from directly off the beach, there is a specific borrow site that is about 2 miles offshore.

  • Is the dredging created the dangerous shorebreak conditions that we are all too used to here in the mid-atlantic?
