The City of Bellevues Connect Downtown program, a partnership with the Bellevue Downtown Association and King County Metro, is a voluntary effort designed to reduce the number of vehicle trips in and out of downtown.
It provides services to businesses, employees and residents such as workshops, assistance in setting up telework programs, and individualized consulting to establish or improve commute programs for employees. In April 2010, the program was recognized with the Governors Commute Smart Award. It was one of only seven programs statewide to receive the honor and the only one in King County.
