Some of the films and sites have more tangible relations than others. The strongest relation between film and site is The Rebuilding of the Shangri-La Motel. It is a home move documenting the rebuilding of the motel in 1956. That is all that it is. The Shangri-La was built on HWY 99 East at DeKalb in the late 1930's. The film was shot in eye popping Kodachrome color which looks like it was made yesterday. www.portlandwas.com Video MaCk MCfarland using film from The Nyback Collection
