On Oct. 12, 1492, as every schoolchild has been taught, Christopher Columbus came ashore on an island northeast of Cuba. He later named it San Salvador (Holy Savior). Over the next ten years Columbus would make three more voyages to the "New World," which only bolstered his belief that he reached the Far East by sailing West.
While on San Salvador, taking in the beauty of this isolated island, and with a case of Kalik Gold down the hatch, we went in search of the Christopher Columbus Monument...
I have always wanted to see the place where Columbus first landed in the New World. The entire history of mankind was changed by what happened there. Thanks for showing this :)
