I found this to be the most entertaining song I learned in Junior Certificate Music :)
-
@MrKillerpivot You learned it wrong. It's "Rashers and sausages" for a jig and "Black and decker" for a reel.

@MrKillerpivot I'll check I don't have the book home with me but I got the info from there and it said it was a reel but I'll check and get back to you in a few days. From the top of my head any piece in 4/4 is a reel as a reel is usually in 2/4 or 4/4. A jig is usually in compound time . Now I could be wrong on that but I think that's the case (that's what my notes say anyway)

@daprettypiggy The way I learned it, if you say 'black and decker' to the tune its a jig and if you can say choc-o-late to the tune then its a reel, but you ptobably know more than me.

@MrKillerpivot No it is definitely a reel, i checked this morning, plus if you do the dance table (I dont know if you do but my teacher does) it said a reel is in 4/4
