beginners glass blowing setup

Introductional video. I am picking up my old hobby. I bought a lot of things/tools that i will be using for making glass stuff. The Big Max torch from the company Nortel will be the work horse. Propane and Oxigene bottles are there for the flame working. Tools like graphite plates and rods, tungsten pins etc.

@spedgren22 Lets see, the torch is about 700E. which is the biggest chunck. The gass(bottle) will set you back a few hundred, but when you buy more amount of gass in one go, it gets cheaper. The glass, i now obtain from a befriended glass blower, this is about 15E p/kg but it depends on the diameter and/or color. There are online suppliers, you will have to google a bit! :-)

is that enough ventilation?... i use a 30 dollar range hood from rona and a open door, seems thats barley enough and your set up looks less powerful, mind you im only using propane and soft glass in my shed

@dalinkwent13 Hi, thanks for visiting! Indeed the plastic lighter is not good in combination with hot glass.. :-)

I also have a metal Zippo lighter i want to fill op again to use..

you should never keep your lighter on your work station. just a heads up.
