My car has had the same squeak in the passenger side rear. Being in WI sending the shocks in for rebuilding is not an option. Was the shock the problem? Was the problem solved? This squeak needs to go!
The shock was the problem. Rebuilding/replacing the shock will stop the squeak. If you want to verify it is your shock, remove the shock. It is very easy and quick to remove the shock, without removing the rear spring. Then bounce the car up and down with only the spring installed. If the squeak is gone, then it is your shock.
The KW rear shocks needed to be rebuilt. I drove to the KW office in Sanger CA and they rebuilt the rear shocks. There is a life time warranty, so there is no charge. If you can't drive to Sanger CA, then KW is going to make you send them your shocks so they can rebuild them.

Did you ever find out what the culprit was? My KW V3's make a very similar, if not the same sound over bumps. Thanks!
