The next course in Sonic Riders is Dr. Eggman's base where he creates his robots, the Egg Factory. You know, I'm kind of surprised it took this long to show this place, and it doesn't even premiere in the main series. (What I also wonder is what Eggman can possibly be up to, now that he's accomplished his goal of making an Eggmanland in Sonic Unleashed.) And like any other manufactory of metal machines, cascades of molten steel are everywhere, which means temperatures get pretty scorching in a place like this.
No, we're not done yet. For some reason, the Eggman stage is placed towards the beginning. I suppose it's because in the story, Eggman isn't the actual villain...at least, not yet. Since he's the one running the races, he provides Sonic and his pals access to the factory to race in, and they choose to play along.
This place isn't nearly as tough as it looks. It may be full of obstacles and sharp turns, but it's also full of long straightaways to catch a break, and there's no threat of hot iron anywhere--it's all barricaded. Eggman may be a villain, but he takes care to keep his walkways safe. The biggest obstacle is the big spinning machine towards the end (featured in the introduction to this course), and it's a good idea not to get too close--unless you want to get to the shortcut inside of the path of the spinning things.
I chose Knuckles the Echidna for this place on his default board, the Red Rock. Knuckles is a Power character, meaning he can bash right through obstacles that would slow down or stop other racers upon hitting them. Power characters will punch the obstacles out of their way AND replenish their fuel. The more obstacles they hit in quick succession, the greater the amount of fuel per object punched will be. Naturally, this makes Power characters great for beginners, since they don't have to worry about grind rails or flight hoops, can take the easiest shortcuts, and are rewarded for hitting obstacles. Egg Factory is very kind to the Power characters, especially near the end. In each lap, you can see Knuckles knocking down some water barrels to get a small shortcut that cuts a corner. Later on, there's another shortcut (you'll see it on the second lap): On the wall is a sign that isn't on straight. Like a well-behaved video game should be, this should be a clue that something's up with it--and as a matter of fact, the wall can be broken down to reveal a path behind it. This, in addition to the shortcut by going behind the spinning machine, gives three options for Power characters at this point, and I purposely chose a different path for each lap.
Is this PS2 game? because you are the coolest player ever!!!!!!!!!!

have u ever made it through those hoops for flying characters while being a speed character or power character with normal boards that dont change ur type?? i did >:]

@killerxdyify Anyone can go through some close enough to the ground, but only those with the Flight ability can get the boost.

@Overhazard strange the weird thing is i actually got through and got a small boost
through the hoop that is near where the 100 ring monitor is in night chase while in metal city (yu know wer i mean right?)

@killerxdyify The 100-Ring Monitor can be obtained by doing a trick off the quarterpipe. That's how non-Flight characters get them. You must be mistaking the trick boost for the air boost.
