  • PB, my old stomping grounds. Used to live on Chalcedony Street and in the Bird Rock area of La Jolla, before my metal detecting days. Do you get out in the water at all? I'd think in that colder Pacific Water people would lose rings more easily, and you have that long stretch of beach from PB to Mission Beach, then down to OB, and there's always La Jolla shores. Good luck and looking forward to more of your vids. Hey, how about Balboa Park?

  • @wadoman699 I haven't ventured out into the water yet, my ace 350 doesn't do too well. Someday soon ill get an underwater detector.

  • nice vid.. hey im in chula vista CA and i go to parks to hunt and the only things i find are pull tabs and pennies. any tips

  • @MrTheblablabla87 discriminate out the pennys and dig the heavy foil, pulltab and nickle signal, those could be gold rings. you have to dig a lot of targets, but if you have a pinpointer it will help a lot.at parks I also lower the sensitivity to like 4 or5 bars so I can concentrate and the shallow targets because I can dig them more quickly giving me time to dig more targets and find more rings.

  • @SanDiegoDigger one ring not gold and some clad..

  • @SanDiegoDigger You will love it. I've found two gold rings last summer after I got my Excal II. I'll bet you will have great luck.

  • @MrTheblablabla87 How did the hunt go?

  • @SanDiegoDigger thanx im going with my kids today

  • for parks, I have my best luck in the play areas by the swings, around trees and the middle of fields where people would play football or soccer.I concentrate 0n pull tab, heavier foil and nickel signals when Im searching for only gold.Get a propointer in you dont already have one. youll find targets faster and will be able to find more good stuff quicker.
