In 'my' country, I still have to pay for every square foot of ground if I want to buy a house, so I can't call it 'my' country. I also have no reason to be proud, because I live in Belgium. Here, the concept 'country' is a mere considered the entity to which we pay our taxes. No nature, no oil, only a bunch of politicians making a fuzz about nothing. At least you Americans have loads of beautiful pieces of nature, congratulations.

I've never been to Belgium (or anywhere in Europe) but imagined your countryside to be nicer than you describe. It would be nice to see a tribute to your country by you or some other citizen.
