The notion that one who works as a "singer song writing piano player" is any less entitled to voice her or his opinions than, let's say, someone who drives an airplane; that artists and entertainers live in a world that is not "real", and should, therefore keep their "yap" shut, betrays an extreme level of thoughtlessness and ignorance. Any further comments by such a person simply cannot be taken seriously.

BTW, I actually have an degree in Political Science, one of two undergraduate degrees that I hold in addition to a graduate degree and numerous professional licenses. So smoke that.

@thechaser1985 If she was so smart, she wouldn't have alienated half of her potential audience. I went from discovering her to being somewhat interested to being turned off all in one day because her slander of my country outweighs her arguably mediocre at best music. I doubt that I'm the only one refusing to buy her stuff due to her decision to say stupid things. One would think that if you want people to buy your music, you should avoid pissing them off by trash-talking America.

Racism can be disguised in politics if you watch and read enough propaganda... oh sorry, I meant "NEWS". But not just the news, it's done in Hollywood as well.

Just look at how Arabs and Muslims get treated in movies. Just look at recent news about unarmed Syrians protesting in the Golan Heights, and get shot at and killed by Israeli troops and the media makes the unarmed guys seem like the bad guy!

Also look up the under-reported Knoxville Massacre in Tenessee. That was racism!
