Chavez has done great things for the Majority of Venezuelans, the 2002 coup was instigated by the CIA. The people of South America know the crimes and genocides of the past that were carried out by US military. They are armed for this reason.

One thing is true... Chavez represents Venezuela, and, if he has been elected and affirmed so many times, it must have been because most of Venezuela likes him. Chavez is not prefect and sometimes he's radical, but still the CIA did try to push him of with a "coup". If the US would back off, the people themselves would not feel invade. Last time the US helped a man rule a South American country, it was that "gentle" General Pinochet. Does it ring a bell, anyone? The best system is democrat-socialism. An according to me the US and Vebezuela are just to extreme. The system should be somewhere in between.
