Yeah, but because the GT-R only has a 6 cylinder engine, it needs turbos to make the kind of power the R8 makes. Turbocharge the R8 and you've got some trouble (well, at least in a straight line). Don't get me wrong, I like GT-R, but I just like the R8 a little bit more. :)

coolest thing is audi plans on releasing a v10 TDI with a twin turbo set up, i think that would be a lovely match up against the gt-r. but then again we are compairing apples(gt-r) in the early to mid 100k range to monsters that are in the same price ranged but deamed one of the most spirited and greatest super cars of all time

@LeontariF1 - they are running in LMP1 at Lemans... it wouldn't really serve a purpose. This car does race the 24 hr Nurburgring (won it's class) and the 12 hrs of Spa (won overall)

@nagmashot - you forgot all the DTM wins... not to mention all the grand prix (pre-cursor to F1) that Audi (Auto Union) had going back to the 1930's.

This is a great car I wonder why the choose to run in GT3 class and not in GT2. It would have been nice to have it race in ALMS in GT2 and in the 24hrs of LeMans.

The Audi R8 LMS is my favorite car.. Even though I love any form of the R8, the gt3 has a significant beauty to it.. And from before, the Nissan Gt-r is great, but despite all qualities of it, it is not exactly comparable to the R8; both amazing cars.. Just in different leagues.. But I remember years ago seeing the rsq in irobot and the r8 being the closest to it..
