A festival which was initially celebrated at harvest time event, in which couples were matched because there were few opportunities for villagers to travel and meet other people. Today it is a fun and festive occasion that takes place during the entire month of September and the first week of October, a period that still coincides with the annual harvest. People gather in dance halls and pubs to sing, dance and listen to music. They keep an eye for potential partners.
