Not one of the best, he is the best!

@war0fiction Whoa, your comment may be old, but I cant help but say your wrong. Amores Peros isnt what ppl have in mind when thinking of Mexico. Neither was the film trying to portray it as such, its just a film with interesting characters and a plot. By your logic, Die Hard & Reservoir Dogs are supposed to be an accurate depiction of US society... because its set in the US? And Inglorious Bastards is a retelling of WWII? of course not, your reading too much into nothing, so dont worry

21 grams is his deepest film and I think is my favorite, but Biutiful is his masterpiece ;)

@headradioak Biutiful was a masterpiece. He can make a movie with anyone he wants.

@war0fiction I understand what you are saying and respect your opinions but honestly, I do not think this is what people thought about Mexicans.. I definitely didn't and neither did anyone I know who saw that movie
-
@war0fiction you really have an inferiority complex. Los personajes de la pelicula son solo eso, personajes en una pelicula. Mickey Mouse is not real.

Guillermo Arriaga was the writer, I hate Amores Perros Love's a bitch.. those people were giving perfect examples of how rotten people can be towards their own blood and the poor animals.. I am from Mexico City and I can tell that not all the people in my city and in my country are as bad and horrible and disgusting like those characters.. Many Mexicans now hate dog, cock and bullfighting.. That is horrible.. No todos los mexicanos somos iguales que estos sucios de esta pelicula

nowhere near as awesome as del toro though..

No creo que le halla gustado lo que dijo a Guillermo del Toro ! Sinceramente, la propuesta cineasta de Iñarritu es mejor, en estos tiempos hablar de la realidad y sus problemas

Cant wait to see Biutiful not because i admire AGI, its because i want to see if he's cable of shooting a film a film director. The prevs were direct translations of Arriaga. I think arriaga itself is overhyped.
One of the very best directors today.
