  • I'm a big fan of Rachel Maddow and she did a great job of fact-checking in that segment. But the last thing she said disappointed me. Her "one more thing..." didn't past muster.

    She stated that Pat said, ""The US track team in the Olympics... they're all black folks"

    When in fact he said, "If I look at the US track team in the Olympics, and they're all black folks, I don't automatically assume it's discrimination"

    She did well up until that point. She shouldn't have clipped his words!

  • This monologue is a follow-up to a lengthy debate between Maddow and Pat Buchanan in which, in my opinion, (and I think I'm being objective here) Buchanan prevailed. So Maddow has the opportunity now to express her views again without the risk that an intellectual opponent would be there to point out any flaws in her argument. They later extended this same opportunity to Buchanan. Oops! No, just kidding! This *is* MSNBC, after all.
