We can't expect this generation to worship the way people used to because things have changed. Just like we don't worship like the Isrialites did, because times have changed since then. These songs have power just like hymns did and still do. And they reach people. Isn't that the goal? To reach people for Christ?

The purpose of a worship atmoshpere like this is to meet people where they're at and reach them with the music styles that they're used to. If you ask any non-christian about why they don't like christian music, they'll say it's because it dosen't have any relevence to them and it's too old and too slow, etc. The music pastor at my church is actually from Hillsong United when it first got its start and that's what he'll say to anyone who condemns him for his worship style.

have you ever heard the parable about the men with talents?
they were given talents, and all but one used their talents for the glory of God.
That one person was told to go away. By the Lord. and his talents were given to others.
These people are using their talents FOR GOD'S GLORY.
They aren't committing sin by praising God with intense lights or sound systems.
There is no RIGHT way to worship God.
Whether it's like Hillsong, or in your room with a guitar. God loves it all the same.

anyone can take parts from the Bible and make people look bad.
who are you to judge if these people worship in falsehood?
just leave them be. if God thinks it is in spirit and in truth, as you say, he will bless them. if not, it is up to Him to judge them. not you.
