He died by taking 10 vials of cocaine in 30 minutes and collapsing in a crack house. He had a very abusive father, lost a sister a very young age and growing up in Mississippi in the 40's...Had to be rough especially for a black man. A lot people judge David but I know how pain from childhood can affect you in adulthood. I don't judge him; I pray that he's in Heaven singing with the angels. I sure would love to hear him when I get there. That's my pray for him.

The day they announced David Ruffin's death on the radio, I was driving to work and they played this song....I was so upset and crying so hard, I had to pull my car over to the shoulder. This is my favorite song of his... With all we've lost too soon, Marvin, Michael, the list goes on and on; it'll break your heart over again to watch all this talent that was here and now gone. May God have mercy on their souls.
