On November 15, 2011, Dr. Clay Wilson and Chobe Wildlife Rescue initiated a mass vaccination project for the remainder of domestic pet and feral dogs not vaccinated in March 2011, for canine distemper. This project was undertaken to prevent a potential outbreak of canine distemper in domestic dogs, spreading to the local wildlife. Canine distemper has in the past, infected wildlife such as lions, leopards, jackals, hyenas, African painted (wild) dogs, etc. Learn more about Chobe Wildlife Rescue and assist if possible:
