Lou Goore Science Symposium Presentation - From DNA to Gene Therapy Part 1

As part of their science research project, 9 ALA students conducted in-depth research on specific areas. Lou focused on Gene Therapy. Using different techniques of gene therapy, scientists are making great achievements and improvements. One of the latest and most promising achievements is the success in the use of gene therapy, combined with nanotechnology, to kill cancer cells in mice. There is still more to come from this field. Cancer and AIDS are very good candidates for gene therapy, and we explore how scientists are focusing efforts in this area to save lives.
