Ugh! What a mess! This video is not nearly as good as my video "George Harrison Talks about Paul McCartney". Pfft!

The version of the song from Concert From Bangladesh is musically flawless. Ringo does flub the lyrics. It is cool to hear this, there are alternate takes of Lennon singing Get Back and McCartney singing I'm So Tired.

@DasGoldenBoy There's also an alternate take where Harrison sings Get Back. It's pretty awesome. and sometime, check out James Brown's cover of Harrison's "Something" It's.. it's pretty cool.

even the "official" ringo version has that george sound to it. they all they're own distinct sound. and the fact that the words hare krishna fit perfectly proves this was made for and by georgie wood. (<-- end of dig it from let it be "that was 'can you dig it' by georgie wood, and now we'd like to do hark the angels come")

After the "Ringo" LP came out in 1973 with all those smash singles, John sent a telegram to Ringo congratulating him and asking if it wasn't too much trouble could Ringo write him a #1 song! John had to wait until 1974's "Whatever Gets You Through The Night" to reach #1 as a solo artist.

BTW, Paul also helped Ringo after the breakup more so later in his career however.

@buffalobraves9 A couple of John's records were kept from reaching #1 by Beatles songs (Instant Kharma was one of them!)! He had the misfortune of coming up against some big records that made #1 and stayed there forever! I don't believe Ringo actually wrote any of his #1's (covers of songs like You're 16", etc). I think Paul only helped out when it was adventageous to Paul to do so--- unlike real friends John and George!

Instant Karma only made it to #3 in the US Billboard Chart, same as Imagine. They were the only Top Ten singles John had until WGYTTN in 1974. In the telegram John wrote to Ringo (which is on display at the RR HOF Annex in NYC BTW), John (tongue in cheek obviously) asks Ringo to write him a #1 song, his words not mine. Ringo co-wrote Photograph with George his first #1, You're 16 being the second.

On a side note, George was the first Beatle and the last Beatle to have #1 hits, 17 years apart
