My Hornbill are 1 yrs old now, this is the 2nd Feeding VDO, they r all male, will find female for each of them this yr

@LeoMessi42 Thanks, mate, and in btw is my cat, i hv 2 mainecoon cat, male is red tabby with white that u saw, now 1 yr and 3 mth, 8 kilo, female is brown tabby with white, quite cute, it's the lady killer, girls love it, cheers mate, thanks agin for your comment : ))

I have 2 great and 2 wreathed around 5 months old but they are not so tame like yours. What r you giving them? is it dog food ? Dog food has too much iron and is not good for soft billed like hornbill birds right ? pls advise.

@potterrobin I hv read couple of articles about too much iron in bird particularly all the bill, but from my own experienced, i hv 2 pairs of great hornbill over 15 yrs old, i raise them frm 3rd month with only dog food, papaya, banana. it's vry big and healthy so far, i know for sure, for the 1st year chick, feed w dog food will reduce the chance of them dying, esp diarrhea, i hv a friend who worry about this issue also, after 5 yrs he is following me now

@potterrobin to tame the bird, u hv to spend a lot of time w them, give them a lot of love, u hv to show it to them, hornbill r vry smart bird, when they believe, they will accept, u still hv couples of month to tame them, after 1 yr, will be harder, enjoyyyy, any new knowledge, pls share

Would be real nice if i can get some help here.

I found a male black hornbill in my garden.

for the past 2 weeks hes been around feeding here.

sometime he sleep on a tree right infront of my kitchen.

he seems very tame. today im gonna try leaving some food

on the trees. bird guys at JJ suggested me dog food

and some largre green pellets made of fruit.

im i going the right direction here?

Dear Krimsan65, hi,this is my second comment to your video. I really love your hornbills, they are so beautiful. In Malaysia, my state is called Sarawak a.k.a land of the hornbills. Unfortunately, it's very rare to see it nowadays because of deforestation and it's hunted for its beautiful feather. I sincerely hope you can increase their numbers and to preserve them from extinction. Thank you.

i saw one in the zoo, man, i just stood next to it for 20 minutes admiring it !!!! when u look at them u feel as if ur near a very intelligent presence ! very majestic bird, i wish i could have one, are those protected by law or anybody can get one? thanx for the video man, ur a lucky guy
