Efficient Guide Machine features for maximum cut quality and cost-effective machining * bilaterally driven and guided gantry * DC servo motors with zero-backlash gears and precise linear guides on all three axis * water tank and guide machine are set up as stand-alone units * fine tuned drive system with helical gears on X and Y axis ensures high precision and reliability * guideways and drive elements are reliably protected from spray water and contamination * extra rigid stainless steel tank with high load bearing capacity * additional catch grid catches small parts * electronic height-control maintains constant distance between the water-jet nozzle and the part * CNC controlled water pressure * CNC-controlled abrasive material supply - the abrasive sand is precisely metered and fed without pressure * future-oriented PC control with graphic user interface and easy to use programming functions * optional expansion for 3-D and multiple head applications
Water-jet cutting with a wide range of applications: * Mechanical Engineering: Gears, cast-iron parts, steel assemblies: stainless steel, copper, aluminum, titanium, and other metals * Aerospace Industry: titanium/aluminum/NiCrCo-based alloys and composite materials for use in aircraft components and aircraft engines * Residential and Industrial Construction: mosaics, slabs, tiles, stone aggregate, concrete, plaster boards, insulation materials, mineral fibers * Glass Industry: composite glass, safety glass, and Plexiglas * Wood Processing Industry: laminated wood boards, veneers, hardwood * Automotive and Automotive Supplier Industry: composite material trims, dashboards, plastic linings, tires, collars, rearview mirrors, seals * Electric Industry: mica, cellulose, composite resins, printed circuit-boards * Food Industry: baked goods, fruit, and frozen food * Benefits * The cold-cutting process ensures distortion-free cutting of any materials, without thermal stress at the cut edges and without alteration of the material structure. * Allows cutting of any contours, and the cut can be restarted at any contour. * There is never any direct contact pressure applied on the part. Despite the high kinetic energy, there are no material deformations, and a high cut precision without fraying or burrs is always guaranteed. The part surface is never disturbed. * Problem materials like plastic coated sheet metal, aluminum, copper, and stainless steel can be cut hassle-free and with utmost precision. * The very small kerf width allows optimum material utilization and seamless nesting. Raw material resources are preserved and material costs are reduced. * This clean cutting process is especially environment-friendly, since it generates no cutting or grinding dust, no chips, and no toxic fumes.
ECOTRON 40.37 High-Pressure Pump -- the Standard Pump for Hydro-Jet Cutters * maximum power and reliability for pure-water and abrasive cutting operations * maximum operator safety and low maintenance * hydraulic drive with axial-piston pump * infinitely variable pressure control via CNC * oil/water heat-exchanger for oil cooling system, or optional oil/air cooler * pressure booster, complete with high-pressure tubing * pulsation damper with 2.49 liter reservoir * relief valve integrated in the high-pressure circuit * The standard pump for the Hydro-Jet series consists of drive hydraulics, pressure booster and pulsation damper plus a proportional valve to control the water pressure via CNC control. The quick-relief valve maintains atmospheric pressure in the pipe system upon completion of the cutting process. A sound proofing enclosure is available as an option to dampen the noise level of the pump.
