Angry? I didn't see any angry. Police were just doing their business making the street passible.
NOPD have their problems, but when it comes to keeping order in a crowd of half a million drunk tourists at Mardi Gras, few can match their skill.
Just don't hastle the cops-- or you might experience what happens when they really do get angry.

Was this vid shot at midnight on Mardi Gras? If so, that's not unusual. The cops always come down the streets of the French Quarter shouting "Mardi Gras is over!". They have to clear the streets so that the trash can be collected, etc. The next day is a normal workday in New Orleans. Enough is enough.

funny how its illegal for my stereo to be 85db or louder and the cops have PA sirens that hit 140db and are all doing it at the same time and thats perfectly fine....

Not taking up for them, but I can see how it would get to you having to put up with the same parties almost every single day. It's a job and some people have to do it. I wouldn't want to do it. I'd rather be the one having fun.

no they are not. Think about this, though... 3 million extra people... most of them drunk and borderline violent... they are doing their best to keep the locals safe.

The cops are paid by the bouncers. From going their twice, I realized they don't care about the law, they're there for the tits and money too.
