Just a week before his last game on senior night, Free State High's beloved star player Eric Watson suffered a devastating injury, tearing his achilles tendon. He was hoping to finish his career on a high note in a clash with Free State's biggest rival - LHS. The two coaches Chuck Law and Mike Lewis decided to do something very unconventional and allow the senior to start his last game even though he couldn't put any weight on his foot and was wearing a protective boot. It was a classy gesture and an unforgettable moment that reminded us what highs school athletics should be all about. Kudos to the two coaches, the players, the schools and everyone involved.

  • Pretty classy. A nice change to the other crap that happens in other kids sports.

  • @SpicyDonk The other team wanted to show their respect and instead of feeling sorry for them and not really being able to say sorry for him they do this to show their respect, and show he will always be apart of the game

  • @posada37 I understand the concept, but I would take it as a sign of disrespect towards my ability.

  • @SpicyDonk they let him take it as a form of respect

  • @posada37 I know, its good that he is still in uniform and still on the court, but they didn't need to act like they were going for the jump ball and then just let him take it. They are acting like he is mentally handicapped, not just physically.

  • @SpicyDonk They did it to show he is still part of the team

  • MOTHER CHRIST BALL BALLS BALLS LOUDDDDDDD! IM WEARING TURTLE BEACHES ON HIGH AT 1 IN THE MORNING!!!

  • If I was in his position, I would not want to be pitied. I think its good he was out on the court and everything, but letting him get the jump ball almost shows that they are looking down upon him.

  • @Hann864 lol dont worry i got your joke unlike these other fools..

  • @kegler27 Look at this kid holding his stuff, he put the team on his back tho.
