I was a bit nervous before getting this done. Although I saw comments about it being painless, I guess I still had fear of the unknown. Got it done by Dr. Brian Boxler Wachler in LA and I did not feel one bit of pain. The Guy is probably the best in the country at what he does. TRUST ME, getting soap in your eyes is worse than getting this done.

I just had this procedure done at Wake Forest. A few "inputs" here for those of you thinking of having this procedure. Don't let the videos freak you out! because they sure spooked me at first. There is almost no pain, just some discomfort and the sedative will take care of the anxiety. In fact, it was fascinating watching the show from the "inside." I had severe keratoconus, It takes a month for the cornea to "settle down" after surgery and after 4 days I am awed by the results.

I have been advised to take 10 days off work by my consultant and get a sick note covering that. Plus been told not to drive in that time as well.
