ESD (elecrtostatic sensitive devices)can be burned up by a static charge in dry and cold weather conditions even worst.

Watch how much she scoots around in the car and then pulls her sweater. That is all creating static charge.

WOMEN!(and men) Don't get back in the car while you're fueling. You'll pick up a static charge again. If a fire starts, turn off the pump, and LEAVE IT THE HELL IN THE CAR. If you take out the hose, you feed oxygen to the fire.  Back away and get help

wow.. good reason to always ground yourself by touching metal objects (especially during the winter and dry weather) -- the more often you do, the less severe the shocks are :)
