  • god, you're all so sexy and nerdy.

  • Vote MURRAY -he makes verse fun again!

  • -any method that may introduce people to poetry should be welcomed - I am always amazed at the great comments people make on the classic poems I have posted to a still picture on my site.

If its out there - new audiences will come.

They just don't know its still going on.

We just get fed 'fast food Tv celebrity' these days.

at least with Youtube and the like -we all get more choice.

Long may youtube join us all.

  • should poetry become more like music? i like the idea of eagerly awaitng my fave poets next release and i'm more likely to see it on youtube, but would the act of treating poetry like pop music reduce the power of the poetry? or should i just lighten up seeing as great tunes dont need great vids? hmmmm...

  • I think Murray has a great talent.

He can perform works that are 200 years old -and modern verse. He keeps you with him on every word.

This is what poetry needs to make it cool again.

  • I agree -I use to hate it at school - but when I hear it read well with passion and love, then I suddenly understand it.

Murray Lachlan Young takes you with him when he reads and performs.

It is a skill not many have

  • oooh, this is how i feel, i love to hear poetry but i find reading it very dull. i look at long poems as chores to read, i can't even pay attention to the end of a sonnet if i read it. and i like to see big gestures and facial expressions. tone of voice is important as well. poetry shouldn't just be pinned down in writing. btw, check out zombie haiku on youtube!
