AMA leaders agree that more changes are needed for health system reform!
The American Medical Association (AMA) convened the 2011 National Advocacy Conference (NAC) February 8-11 in Washington, DC. AMA members and their guests had the opportunity to discuss advocacy issues, attend educational sessions and visit with their representatives on Capital Hill.
Highlights include a panel discussion with AMA President Cecil B. Wilson, MD, President-elect Peter W. Carmel, MD and AMA Board Chair, Ardis Dee Hoven, MD.
Dr. Wilson provided insight into the Affordable Care Act and support of those elements of the legislation consistent with AMA policy.
