Didn't you hear what he said at the beginning? About it being his way, and he's not some drum tech tuning genius. He was basically admitting what you've said to everyone else. He never said this was the right way to do it or best way. Just listen to the guy and appreciate what he's doing.

Hey I got a peral drumset and it sounds like crap... I dont like it. Then my drum teacher his drumset sounds amazing and his drum set is cheap... but I notcied he stuck paper inside his bass drum, snare, etc. And does that actually make it sound better?

When I tighten my lugs they sometimes get stuck and they feel really tight when they're actually not, is there anything I can do about it and would the 'torque key' still work?

@GJW120 the thing about pushing the fist in is ok but don't push to hard,just so you can see the wrinkles, then remove all wrinkles and the start the tuning proces. and the pitch of the drum is all preference but different drums sounds best at different pitch.

3:57 - 4:04 = HILARIOUS !! lol oh and question: the drum heads @ my church r h-o-r-r-i-b-l-e (in terms of tunage).. plus, they're pretty old heads. if i was to do that same thing with the fist but with the old heads, do u think they would sound any better ?
