I lived in the keys for many years, and I can tell you for a fact that they do get pretty big. But people should be more afraid of barracudas, bull sharks, and nurse sharks. The Goliath's are usually stay in deep water, most fishermen use electric reels to catch them since they stay in depths that are humanly impossible to get to. Best part of them are the cheeks :)

WWF should look in towards abusing of fish. Didn't u all feel compassion towards such cute fish being slaughtered and fished everyday?...They deserve to live....just like other creature on earth :-( (sad...)
