@Armboy100 my advice to you Anthony (another member here) would be to find a good singing tutor / coach to learn the difficult techniques needed to gain the techniques you're trying to achieve. 'Style' singing require correct dedication & discipline. Also be careful who you choose as your coach to bring out firstly the best in your 'true' voice, & secondly learning correctly (not destructive & harmful ways!) of singing. Above all, enjoy your voice - the rest will follow. Good luck too!! x
Hi there Armboy.. Tim from the B&H Gay Men's Chorus here. Best advice if you are just starting out would be to join a local singing group. It may be a local operatic society or even a chorus group like ours! You will soon get to learn what those mystical dots, lines and strange shapes on a music sheet actually mean. From there you will undoubtedly meet others with similar interests to yours and find out the best ways to further your aspirations in the area you live. Good luck!!
I'd love to be a counter tenor (or male soprano, if possible), but I have no clue where to start and what to do. Any advice? Any scholarships or fellowships for a dreamer with a voice and almost no knowledge on music? Thanks.
