Daniel is an amazing person, he has some great insights in his book 2012: The Return of Quetzlcoatl, though if you're going to jump into this book I suggest you read "Breaking Open the Head" first as it is easier to follow and will lay some of the ground for his latter work.
Also, if you're into this information look up:
Rudolf Steiner, Friedrich Nietzsche, Carl Jung, Terrence Mckenna
Nassim Haramein, Carl Johan Calleman, Jose Arguelles
he talks about most of them in his books =D
