  • There is a mistake: on drums is Joe LaBarbera, not Paul motian!

  • @ziogustav Thanks!

  • Thank you again for making this important recordings available. I am devoted jazz fan ( and Evans' fan) and appreciate your efforts tremendously. Best of luck to you and your channel!

  • @vova47 Thanks a lot for the messages vova47. Unfortunately, even (especially) for the unreleased material, I receive copyright complaints. I bet my time is short on Youtube, but I'll continue those series as long as possible.

  • wow! I was there.

There is a new CD issued from pirate recording. I got it yestarday and it seems excelent recording.

  • HELLO THERE, I'M A GREAT FAN AND STUDENT OF BILL EVANS. IN REALITY THIS AMATEUR RECORDING WAS TAPED AT VILLAGE VANGUARD IN JUNE 1980 AND NOT AT FAT TUESDAY, SO BILL'S FINAL RECORDINGS DON'T REALLY EXIST! WHAT A PITY!

  • Thanks for sharing this. Bill is amazing !

  • Barrtok,

I enjoyed the music as this was Bill's last musical performance. Have you read my book yet? The Big Love ~ LIfe & Death with Bill Evans describes Bill's last eighteen months as I travel and care for him during his most prolific creative period. Laurie Verchomin

  • This is about to be released on CD as part of the last two sets Evans ever performed. The fire in his playing is just amazing. What an astonishing genius. I just hope that his estate is receiving royalties for the spate of bootleg CDs that have been released in recent years.

  • Dear barrtok, I am very sorry to hear about complaints when you should be receiving praise and honors. I hope you are wrong about your time on Youtube but just in case, I suppose, I'd better hurry up and listen to all I can, while it's still available, right ? Keep up the good work, we need you!
