I am in the process of transitioning. It will be 4 months on wednesday (6/24). I am sticking to roller sets during the summer mainly because I sweat a lot in my hair (it's so hot and humid here) so it's easier for me to wash every week than it would be for me in braids. I think as soon as it gets cooler I'll get some braids. so far I'm loving my little curls

Great video girl I agree 100% with everything you said. Excellent advice. Especially the part about this being a mental & physical journey. The point about making your permed ends look like your natural hair is great too, I did that and deep conditioned alot and my hair grew like I've never seen it grow in my life and has been ever since! I have been all natural over a year and transitioned for 10 months before that. RimBlue4 I hope you have a wonderful natural journey!

You make some very good points about hair acceptance that I feel a lot of people don't talk enough about. Coming to terms with whatever type of hair you have is probably 10x harder than even learning to care for and styling your hair.
