(Ashly's Pov)

I walked around the park holding my daughter, Nicole's, hand. The sky was blue and the sun was at its highest. The wind was gently blowing and the birds were happily chirping. The day was perfect and I knew nothing could ruin it. "Mommy, I'm thirsty." Nicole said in her sweet childish voice. I nodded and brought her towards a food cart. "Two bottles of water please." I ordered to the vendor. "Yes Ms. that'll be $2.50." he replied handing me the water. I reached into my purse and gave him a 5 dollar bill. "Would you like to buy one of our magazines?" the man offered. "Um...." I mumbled glancing at the tabloids. *How Kim K Lost 5 Pounds in 3 Days* *Lindsay's Wild Night* *Brad and Angelina Break Up?* I read the titles and nothing took hold of my attention. That is until I read the next title, *Nick Jonas's Secret Past Marriage* "I'll take the People's magazine please." I spoke with urgency in my voice. "Ah, a fan of the Jonas Brothers?" he questioned. "Sort of" I answered back. He handed me my items and gave me my change. "Thanks have a good afternoon sir." I said before walking away. "Like wise" I heard him call back. I went over to the nearest park bench and took a seat. Quickly, I filled Nicole's sippy cup with the water. "Thank you mommy" she commented before drinking it down. I placed the magazine on my lap and opened it up. I flipped through the pages till I found what I was searching for.
'A secret source informed us, not too long ago, that heartthrob, Nick Jonas, had a past flame to which he proposed to. Of course, we couldn't believe it and thought it was just another silly rumor, but this story was too good to pass up. So, after setting up an interview with the trio, we asked Nick multiple questions. All he had to say on the topic was "Yes, I was once engaged. Her name was Ashly and what we had was very special, but like most relationships, ours failed. We had some problems that could not be fixed and eventually we decided to just end things. I haven't seen her since, but I really wish I could. I miss her. Before she was my fiancée, she was my best friend. I could go to her with any difficulty I had. She'd listen to you and just brighten up your day. That's something I really loved about her."
After reading his interview, I throw the magazine on the floor. How could he lie? WE did not decide to end things, HE did. I angrily sighed and crossed my arms. "Mommy, are you okay?" Nicole asked. I looked down at her and smiled. "Yes, sweetie. Mommy just got a little upset." She nodded and scooted closer to me. "Can we go home now? I'm sleepy" "Of course baby" I picked her up and walked to my car. Half way through buckling her up she asked me a question. "Mommy can we go see the Jonas Brothers for me birthday?" I momentarily froze but quickly recomposed myself. "We'll see." was all I said before closing the door and climbing into the driver's seat.
