  • I wish that I could hear you talking about the experience during the video instead of that annoying music that a lot of people turn off, & had nothing to do with this experience. It's like a silent movie. come on, it's the 21st century. Make a talkie why don't you?

  • Yeah sorry about that. They busted me for music copyright violations because of the music playing in the background coming from the Jeep speakers. I think they've changed their rules so maybe I'll re-upload the video next week. I'm heading back out there Monday to climb some new peaks first though!

  • I was like.... hey they look familiar.... wait a second... UTmike from Jeepforum?! lol

  • Yup :) Sorry for the delayed response but that's me!

  • No, it wasn't my first time out. But spotters are required whenever you're not comfortable and we were all much more comfortable with someone watching our footing when we've got that cliff right there. We weren't trying to impress each other.

  • @TF856 I agree... amazing video but I found myself turning the music off. Maybe try putting something a little more intense to fit the video a little better. I can actually send the OP some MP3's that I think may be good.

  • @mike67mike Yea, big fan of your trip threads, am looking to do the same one come next Summer, don't have much excuse not to.

  • I have done Black Bear, 1st 2 times in a 1st gen Isuzu Trooper, then in a Wrangler and last 2 times in a 2nd generation Trooper. Black Bear is not that technical, especially in the Jeep. However I was scared in that old trooper. I once saw a guy drive it in a long wheelbase Silverado, his outside tires were half way off the edge in one spot. I'd recommend it if you haven't done it, it is unbelievably beautiful

  • Nice vid...makes me want a jeep!

  • Awesome man, the wife and I are planning to go there this summer, not sure if I'm up for BBP or not, we'll see when we get there LOL

BTW, it's weak that they stripped your audio because you were listening to music.

  • Great video! Don't listen to anyone who makes fun of cautious driving here in Colorado! One slip or act of overconfidence on a trail like Black Bear can be deadly. I've done a lot of trails here in Colorado but haven't gotten up the nerve for Black Bear, so great job. Thanks for the video!
