Yeah but they could have been responding to an emergency situation somewhere. You don't know. There probably was justification for it.

decomissioned yesterday I was at the cermony a sad day for all who sailed and worked on her over the last 29 years and covering 892000 miles in the process.
Quote of the day was from some of the Falkland war vetrans who were not allowed on board yesterday as it was to dangerous, well it was more dangerous in 1982 and were allowed on board..........

That's naughty , unless there is a desperate urgent reason , and if that were the case you'd expect the Harbour Master AND the Ship to be broadcasting warnings over channel 12 .
Excess wash in harbours can do terrific damage , especially to small craft .
There is an R I B following her out astern as she goes out through the entrance in the mole , and then overtaking her on the Stbd side , doesn't look like the Pilot .

Get a life, get outside and have a word with yourself. We can do what we like! One in the eye for leftie pinko surrender monkeys like your good self. Eh what?
-
It's a British territory, we can do what ever speed limit we like...
P.S FALKLANDS WILL ALWAYS BE OURS

Yeah, but, we only do it for fun because the Yanks take it seriously enough for both of us. Besides, what's wrong with the skipper getting in a bit of water skiing anyway?
But, if it offends anyone we'll have some speed cameras put up on the wall, and reconstruct the wall istelf from marshmaloow (pink) so no-one will hurt themselves. Boats making a wash and rocking other boats! Whatever next?

Typical RN. Pricks !! Only know full throttle ahead. ZERO boat handling skills. Seen it time and time again. They don't got a clue about throttle management. Should hae had their asses in a sling about this. Stick to the rules in harbour. RN has to also adhere to the law

@24grange Damn right. I wouldn't have gone back to Portsmouth!
-
@GRIDMASTER6 Can't fucking believe it. What absolute rubbish that is. Not allowed on because it was 'too dangerous' indeed. God it makes me angry.

The only way to depart after a run ashore....

I was onboard when this happened....specials......skip
per got a damn good bollocking, but hey...fuck it!
The Admiralty should know better. It was a very dangerous thing to do, especially as it was unannounced, I know of one electronics technician who was up the mast of a small vessel in the harbour who had a narrow escape as the boat he was on went totally crazy bashing against the wharf and other boats with the huge swell. They were very lucky, the technician and the Navy.
