11/28/2009: A day at the Steamtown N.H.S in Scranton, Pennsylvania Part 1

VIDEO #500! November 28th was my first ever visit to Steamtown in Scranton, Pennsylvania. I went up to see Canadian Pacific's Holiday Train, but the main event wasn't until mush later. In the meantime, I looked around the museum and the yard to see all the goodies that were around, like DL Alco's, Steam Locomotives on display, and Steamtown's own CP 4-6-2 2317 pulling the Scranton Limited around, and CP's Holiday Train, with CP AC44CW 9824 repositioning themselves at the platform. In later videos, we will see CN 3254 pulling trains too. Sorry about some shakiness in the videos, for the first half of the day I didn't use my tripod, an it was windy and cold on top of the Walkway.

cool video i have a question why does the 2317 never run on the main line .i know the locomotive TENDER derailed in the delaware water gap but what does that have to do with the locomotive?

i remember going to that museum in... 2000 i think. all i remember is i was kinda afraid of that snow blower contraption
