How much is fair? The top 1% pay about 1/3 of govt revenue as it is. The bottom 50% pay about zero. Fair is arbitrary. When does it stop? I agree that the rich have too much power in the system today, and that they should not get as much in benefits from the govt. But the way to do that is to reduce the size and scope of the govt. Any govt power is available to be co-opted by the rich. The politicians are the ones blind with greed.

There is a whole community of rich renouncing US citizenship to avoid taxes. One of the co-founders of Facebook did so just before FB went public. I say, good for him. Most of what our taxes goes for hurts people via warfare or welfare. We buy bombs and bullets with our taxes. We create stifling welfare dependency with our taxes. The less of it those goons in DC get, the better off the poor will be.

and the 'poor' aren't morons, they wont seize all the asset of the rich, we are just asking that they pay their fair share and stop having undue privilege. We understand some rich are inevitable, what we don't agree is that the rich get even richer while crushing the poor.

and continuing that way will only result in revolution.. and in revolution you don't only lose your asset, imho the rich are getting blind from greed and don't see the danger on their ways.

I agree that the rich have bought too much power in govt. But this is because we the people have given too much power to politicians to sell. In a pure democracy, if we had one, the power goes to the majority. Since the poor outnumber the rich, it is the poor who would seize the assets of the rich. This would make them happy in the short run, but soon the money would be gone, and the most productive would have fled or been killed, and the poor would find themselves without jobs.
