@DJcharti I completely agree with you that that is what spring usually means. Rebirth and such.
This song is specific to the Armenian cultural heritage - Komitas wrote it during/after the genocide, there is a vocal line (not in this piano adaptation) that goes "Garun a dzun a arel" or "It is spring, though snow has fallen." Supposedly, that year, rather than rebirth, spring came unnoticed, because it still snowed (and so many people died). This isn't a happy love song, this is song of mourning.
@artemfb er I think spring is something that melts ice and the bad things.. sometimes spring melt up the love melt up your heart, think that its logical to me.. but it doesn't matter anyway
@GrapefruitBubbly Strange song to play at a wedding, considering it's by a man who eventually went insane with grief, and it's about a spring that snow still fell. Hope the marriage ends up better.
